There's no new episode of Riverdale this week, so Russ, Craig, and Chris decided to check out Archie: To Riverdale and Back Again, a 1990 TV movie in which Archie Andrews is -- unsurprisingly -- the worst.

 

This time, though, so is the movie, and holy cow, we had some fun skewering it, all while trying to have a semi-serious discussion about what Riverdale does better, what it might learn from this movie, and more. We hope you enjoy it almost as much as we didn't enjoy watching this turkey for you.

Episode 10: Oscar Night 2017: La La Land and The Blues Brothers

It's OSCAR NIGHT! And the crew of Emerald City Video have decided to set up camp in Russ's living room and take a look at the favorite to win Best Picture tonight, La La Land.

Then to have a little palate-cleanse after that, Russ and Logan reconvene to record a look at The Blues Brothers.

Episode 9: If You Liked JOHN WICK, Try These...

It's not a five for five deal, but it's something else that you might remember from the days of brick and mortar video stores being a commonplace thing: "If you like this, try this..."

We remember back when we used to have to fill out these little employee recommendation cards for major new releases, and here, we get to do it all over again...but on the internet. And with audio.

Also, I think we forgot to introduce ourselves, so bear in mind this episode is Russ and Zach.

Anyway, with John Wick 2: Electric Bugaloo in theaters now, we figured it was as good a time as any to make some suggestions for movies you can watch if you really enjoyed John Wick.

We all get drunk and review The Ring Vs. The Grudge

Russ Burlingame, David Nielsen ,Logan Bretschneider, and Dan Fecteau got together last Friday for a screening of Sadako vs Kayako, also known as The Ring vs The Grudge.

A good deal of alcohol was consumed, and we really only had the one microphone. So the sound quality is pretty awful.

But it was a lot of fun, and we got to really punch holes in what was, to be honest, a pretty terrible movie. And of course talk about other things that popped into our heads.

So listen in on our conversation, and we promise a more professional recording next time around...!

The Comic Book Movies of 2016

There were just a WHOLE LOT of comic book movies in 2016, and there’s going to be a WHOLE LOT MORE in 2017.

And since Russ works at a comic book news website (comicbook.com, in case you’re wondering) and Zach pitches in there too from time to time, it seemed like taking stock of last year’s comic book movies was kind of a no-brainer.

Especially since we are diametrically opposed to the opinions held by most critics…!
